Welcome to your market!

More vendors, more variety, and more ways to build community.

Time for a change

We have loved our time in Depot Town, but a new location brings new opportunities for growth and connection.

Our previous market location is no longer available, so we are moving the Saturday Market to a place many of you know and love: Ypsi Farmers Marketplace.

While change is never easy, we are committed to ensuring the market remains a welcoming, accessible space that meets our community’s needs.

This move allows us to reimagine what a thriving, just, and sustainable local food economy looks like. Just a few things we’re looking forward to include:

  • More vendors!

  • Bi-weekly community programming in the MarketPlace Hall.

  • Expanded market area: the street in front of the market will be closed to vehicle traffic, giving shoppers more room to shop, mingle, and spend time.

Our partners at Old City Acres continue to offer a great way to shop online from local farmers and producers through Ypsi Farms; they even have delivery and different pick-up options!

Going beyond fresh produce

The Ypsilanti Farmers Market is a vibrant community space dedicated to building a just and equitable local food system in the heart of Ypsilanti.

Run by the non-profit Growing Hope, the market's mission is to create an accessible and inclusive hub that celebrates the city’s diversity while empowering everyone to grow, buy, sell, and enjoy nourishing food. We proudly support local farmers, food producers, and artisans as essential pillars of our community’s well-being.

By fostering connections, advocating for food access, and embracing our diversity, we aim to cultivate a thriving community where everyone has a seat at the table. Together, we’re growing hope and harvesting a future rooted in equity, community, and a deep love for Ypsilanti.
